My Creative Name Assignment

This is my creative name project thing. I'm pretty happy with the result. It's certainly very colourful. Well this was my first full week back since "THE WIZ" and it's been a little slow and tiring but today is friday and so that makes me happy. I'm really enjying this class so far. I'm just about done my notepad alos so thats a plus.

Anyways I stayed true to my word and did come back. So this weeks quote comes from the Grapes of Wrath as spoken by Henry Fonda in the original 1940 film...."Then it don't matter. I'll be all around in the dark - I'll be everywhere. Wherever you can look - wherever there's a fight, so hungry people can eat, I'll be there. Wherever there's a cop beatin' up a guy, I'll be there. I'll be in the way guys yell when they're mad. I'll be in the way kids laugh when they're hungry and they know supper's ready, and when the people are eatin' the stuff they raise and livin' in the houses they build - I'll be there, too. "

Fourth post

This week I was really busy with "THE WIZ" so I missed all but two comm. Tech classes. Also one of the classes wasn't really utilized as a class because we went and heard a presentation by Jack Layton who is the leader of the NDP party. So, in short, what just took me 3 lines to explain could have been said using 6 words-"this is what I did today..."So today we formated a notepad on CorelDRAW and we wote out some definitions for digital terms. So really thats all I did this week in regards to comm. tech. So in the words of The Terminator, {Insert Austrian accent}"I'll Be Back".

What I did over the past week a.k.a Third post

This is my third post. Over the last week I created a video presentation in Windows Movie Maker. It was fun. I tried to be as creative as possible even though the video turned out to be about 4 minutes and about a minute of it was just my name and different jobs. Usually it would just be like all the jobs and then my name but i thought it was funny. The song I chose was always look on the bright sde of life by monty python.

My second post

It's been a grand total of five minutes since my last post. It's too long, I can bearly stand it. I like the idea of this project. It's just a place for you to write down thoughts. This, of course, can be difficult if you don't happen to have a whole lot of thoughts. Fourtunatly, if your me, and unfourtunatly, if your any other human being in the whole of man kind I do have a lot of thoughts. I just wanted to mention that it's cool looking around this room, the comm. tech room and seeing things like the lights over there. Well I suppose you probaly can't see them if your reading this, but I can see them and so it probaly seems cooler to me. Because well I can see them. Ok well I'm off to do something thats probaly far less important than this blog but i cant spend all class on here. Ok...{the dot, dot, dot represents me leaving}

Post numero un{post number one for those of us not trained in the language known as french}

Um ok, well this is my first blog so I don't really know what I'm doing but I continue to type this none the less. I'm doing this for comm. tech class. I've thought about a career in filmmaking and so that was my reason for taking this class. I hope to learn more about the technical side of video cameras but I'd also love to learn anything about digital cameras{the kind that take pictures} and I'm interested in learning about lighting and t shirt screening and everything. The thing that seems most daughting to me about a career as a filmmaker is that I know very little about the technical side of film. I have many ideas for films and I can see how it would go in my head, but i dont possess the knowledge or the skills to make these ideas come to life. I am hoping to take as much as I possibly can from this class and use the resources available to me. I have a few screenplays in the works and a buddy of mine is producing, directing and writing a small television show in Toronto and is interested in trying to shoot a film this summer. So I hope to take this information and utulize it for future projects.
